There were some questionable concoctions and a few bewildered taste tests! However, with each batch, I’ve learned so much about balancing flavors and maximizing nutrients. It’s been an incredibly rewarding process, and I’m eager to share more of my juicing discoveries and favorite recipes with you.

For those of you just starting out, don’t be discouraged by imperfect first tries. Juicing is an art that develops with practice. Consider what you want from a juicer; if you’re serious about daily juicing, investing in a good masticating (cold press) juicer can yield more nutrients and less pulp, though they are often pricier. Feel Better Green Juice (Adult Version)

Ingredients

  • 1 green apple seeds removed
  • 1 large orange peeled
  • 1-2 stalks celery
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1 small bunch organic kale plus any leftover stems from other kale!
  • 2 small handfuls spinach
  • a generous 1″ piece of fresh ginger
  • freshly squeezed lemon juice to taste

Instructions

  • Thoroughly wash all produce. Juice all ingredients except the lemon juice. Stir the freshly pressed juice together, taste, and add freshly squeezed lemon juice as desired for a brighter flavor. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra layer of hydration and a milder flavor, I also love adding fresh cucumber to this juice. I didn’t have any on hand when making this batch, but it makes a fantastic addition! Feel free to experiment with other greens or fruits you enjoy.
